I ordered a black one of these as a change of colour for my pristine SL-1200 Mk5. I was dissapointed to find that the paintwork is terrible, it looks like it has been done with spray cans in a shed at the bottom of someone's garden. There is blooming and orange peel effect in the paint, which just makes it look and feel cheap and nasty.Paint aside, the fit is quite poor too. The cutouts for the start stop button and on/off switch are oversized, so you have maybe 1-2mm of space round them, which is sloppy. If you then move to the 33/45 buttons, there is no space at the bottom of the buttons and then about 4mm above them. Likewise, the pitch reset button cutout is miles out and as with the other cutouts, the amount that it is out has no relation to anything else. It looks and feels like the holes have been guessed at.You can see that beneath the awful paint job, the flimsy steel has been badly cut and there are still burrs and other sharp anomalies under the paint. Not only that, but the sharp edges are present on the underside too, meaning that if you put the cover on and start to try and adjust it because of the badly cut out, cut-outs, you will most likely damage your turntable.To sum up, if you have a really battered Technics deck and want to give it a minor makeover, you may find this tolerable, but if, like me, you were buying this for a deck in good condition to just have a colour change, then you should look elsewhere as these covers are truly awful quality in every way possible.Not worth even a tenner. I've added some photos, you can also see that the paint is so thin near the pitch reset button that the steel is rusting through!An update - I contacted Zomo directly and they said to return it through amazon. Very unhelpful and another reason to avoid this cheap and nasty product.
