Great music for a bass singer. A lot of the classical "standards" that a student needs to learn.

The quality of printing, paper and binding were much better than I expected for the very reasonable price point.

It is a very useful and reasonably priced anthology, consisting of about half Baroque period and half Romantic period arias, including some seldom heard gems like "Honor and Arms." The previous review of the Messiah arias not being exact to the original Messiah score is correct, but the editorial changes are mostly in the accompaniment, and not so significant that they could not be used as stand-alone solos or auditions pieces. I recommend this book as an inexpensive addition to any bass/baritone library. I bought it for myself to replace a very old and worn-out sacred anthology book that I have had since high school (grad. class of 1980) by G. Schirmer.
