I purchased two of these for use with my Targus TG-MP6710 monopod (ASIN: B001AK2VQ0) with a Professional Mini Ball Head Camera Mount (ASIN: B000L47AHG Model number: MH1004-320). I am using them with a JVC Everio GZ-HM340BUS camcorder and a Nikon D3000 camera. I have one of the quick release bases attached to the ball head on the monopod and the camera and camcorder each have a plate attached. I can quickly switch from camera to camcorder and back, depending on which I need. Both work very well.For the camcorder, I use it with the release lever in the front, so it doesn't block the battery release. Otherwise I would need to remove the camcorder from the monopod to change batteries.Both camera and camcorder are held very steady with this mount and adapter combination.

Use it for maybe 10-12 years.Even such a small site can easily withstand good cameras. I use for fast transfer of the camera from the slider on a monopod, tripod or gimbal. Easy hold cameras like 5DmarkIV

Was looking for some sort of quick release to mount an action camera behind the mirror of my car to use as a dash cam. I tried all sorts of things that just did not work well ... then I found this little item.Now I am happy! This quick release is small enough AND strong enough for my little action camera. I can simply snap the camera into place without worrying about aiming. It fastens AND releases easily. Just wish I had found it sooner ... before I spent $100 on some other things that didn"t work.I actually bought TWO of these units. One is on the mount in my car. The other is on a suction cup mount I can put in my other car or wherever else I need it. I have the camera half of the mount permanently fastened to my camera. Slik is slick.

This is the coolest little piece of equipment that I have seen in a long time. Solved my problem of putting a smaller camera on a full-size tripod attachment as slick as can be. Very well built and holds the camera rock steady. I looked at all kinds of ways to do this that didn't look goofy, give me features that is did in a professional and intelligent way. Just click this and the base in the adapter for your big tripods, snap it in, and it is held in a solid grip. When you wish to release the camera, on a small, light, obtrusiveness piece come along with it. It is very solidly made of meta.

Works great! Obviously not for heavy cameras (they make bigger ones) but my Olympus TG-5 sits atop my broadcast style video camera safe and secure on one. Always prefer the lever operation to be unloaded rather than juggling the device while trying to lock it in place. This mount sits ready to go, all you have to do is stick the other piece on and the latch snaps and the camera is in place. Have bought several and have one on order now.
