Legere Sopraan Sax Signature 2.5 Dureté 2½ unités SSG250

Je suis un amateur depuis longtemps des anches “légères”, sur tous mes saxophones. Celle-ci ne déroge pas à la règle.

Quelqu'un m'avait conseillé cette anche, alors que je joue depuis toujours avec des anches en roseau, celle-ci m'a complètement bluffé. Satbilité du son, durabilité. Son prix est évidement à la hauteur de sa qualité et je ne le regertte vraiment pas car l'essayer, c'est l'adopter définitivement...

I started using Legere reed a few months ago, and I love it so much! It is very easy to play for beginner sax players like me. It produces a slightly brighter sound than the cane reed and I like it. I can play low notes like low Bb and high F# quite easily. I can just pick up the reed and play right away without the need to soften the reed first like those cane reeds.

I first used this when I was struggling to find consistent reeds. This was around 2012. I was finding that 80 percent of the box was being thrown away. So after hearing that Tom Scot used these on soprano I gave them a go. Instant blowing and strong sound. It’s not a AAA cane Reed but it is 90% there, but, and this is huge, it’s 90% 100% of the time. Now I use the soprano in all genres I fact yesterday I was playing Eliza Aria in a church ceremony and Ed Sheeran. Then later some Stevie Wonder. When I play I can be doing songs on Alto and Tenor and then have to pick up the sop at a seconds notice and it plays instantly with no choking, even outside in sunshine. Unlike the alto and tenor I use this Reed all the time. It suits the soprano and is consistent with every new Reed. They last me around 3 months (cane would be 10 to 14 days).Overall I’d say buy with confidence. Even if it’s not perfect for you it’s always good to have a spare that you know will play well whatever the conditions.
