It’s perfect, The material seems good and durable.

This feels like a nice mat. Unlike some others I have this one isn't the same material top and bottom. It has a softer, white material on the bottom. I don't know if that's to protect the surface it's sitting on, or to keep it from sliding around, or some other purpose, but I can't see any particular drawbacks to it so it's largely just a curiosity. It's a good size so it should be sufficient for any reasonably-sized grill. I'm quite happy that it will do a good job protecting my floor.

**UPDATE**I've had this grill mat for about a month now and I don't think I'm going to keep it. When I first got it everything was great but as time went on, the edges began to curl up and they have just gotten worse with time. The mat no longer lays flat like it once did. I even tried putting some rocks on the edges that curled up to see if they'd flatten out again and it didn't work. It's great that it's fireproof, but not great that I could potentially trip and fall into a hot grill.***************************************This grill mat was a needed safety item for my summer grilling since I wanted to keep my kettle grill on my wooden deck for summer grilling. I think it is all in all a great mat and I think it's great that it comes in a variety of sizes at affordable prices.Pros:- The material is clearly very durable. It feels a little sticky to the touch (it is not actually "sticky" it just feels like that) which to me signals that it will keep whatever is on from slipping around.- It is really easy to clean! My mat has gotten dirt, pollen, and ash on it and was easily washed off with a quick rinse of a hose.- As I was lighting my grill with my charcoal chimney, some of the charcoal spilled out onto the mat and it took it like a champ, keeping my deck from any danger or unsightly burn marks. So the mat has already paid for itself.Cons:- Because it is so lightweight, It blows easily in the wind. Make sure that there is always something on top of it to weigh it down- after a day outside, the edges began to curl. Not really a deal breaker for me, but I would rather the mat lay flat on the ground so that it doesn't become a tripping hazard or get caught by the wind. (note: this is just on the 48x30 mat. I'm not sure about the other sizes)But all in all, I am glad to have this mat for my summer grilling! I feel a lot safer having this underneath my grill and cook station!
