Appalachian Spring: Score

チャイコの三大バレエほど有名ではないが、コープランドの三大バレエのひとつ「アパラチアの春」・・・1945年にピューリッツァー賞を受賞した作品！作風はアメリカ開拓時代を彷彿とさせるパストラル調・・・ド田舎育ちの小生などはアパラチアの洒落たイメージより、田んぼと畑が広がるニッポンの風景なんぞを想像してしまう！それはさておきスコアは270ｍｍ×175ｍｍの大きめサイズで、音符も観易い・・・変拍子もあるが音楽をかじった小生程度でも初見で着いて行けるレヴェル、アメリカ音楽ファンは是非！！

Good quality at the right price

I had to buy this for an assignment and I had a friend who bought one that only had the piano part and the strings. It looked exactly the same, but was totally wrong. This is a good complete score! It isn't huge though, which can make it hard to read. It also doesn't stay open great. I had to crack the binding to make it stay open well.

Although I feel the print quality could be better, every note is legible. This is an inexpensive way to study a great piece of music.
