Die Combo kam schnell und transportsicher verpackt an. Die Qualität ist für den Preis einwandfrei. Die Rute ist wunderbar sensibel, man spürt jedes Zuppeln am Köder. Die Rolle ist für den Preis ok.Hat beim ersten Einsatz schon reichlich Fisch und Spaß gebracht. Einen kleinen Hecht hat sie locker weggesteckt. Für "Profis", die für jeden Fisch eine persönliche Rute im Schrank haben ist das vermutlich eher nix. ;) Macht Spaß!

If you want to fish for trout / salmon, you will need some line (wet or dry) and flies.So out of the box you get a two piece 210cm rod, reel with decent line on, lures including 4 x spinners, 4 x large hooks with 8 x silicone swimbait lures that you slot on the large hooks.The rod and reel are lovely, so smooth n light, memories of my old split cane rod and Shakespeare reel come flooding back, fishing on the cut and even school fishing team! The good thing is my daughter often goes with her mate when her Dad goes fishing and he sets up a rod for them to share. No more, she can take her own rod and will just need line n bait, which he'll sort! Being honest, I'm a complete beginner when it comes to fishing. I've watched a few videos and spoken to a few friends, but other than that I'd not done it before.Watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to grab this, get a rod license (not sure if I needed one - but better safe than sorry!) and head down to our local river where I'd read there are pike.Everything I needed was here. I had the rod, reel, line, lures, hooks and various other bits I didn't use too.Surprise, surprise, I didn't catch anything! But, I did have fun using this rod and the fisherman I spoke to whilst down there said I was just unlucky and that (to him) it looked like I was doing everything right.So, I can't say how good the rod is at reeling in a fish, but I can say that it felt good quality, it was easy to cast with (even just following YouTube videos!) and then reel back in once I was done.I'm happy to have this to get me started on, potentially, a new hobby. It removed the need to do much research on what I needed to buy and really just let me get started! :)

It has only in recent months that I've been dabbling in a bit of fishing, also hunting for crabs and whelks and the like thanks to YouTuber The Fish Locker, honestly check him out. So, as you can imagine I was absolutely stoked to see this Abu Garcia rod and reel appear.As you gather I nabbed it.It arrived in a long box (obviously), took it along to a fishing friend and we set about checking it out. If I'm being honest he wasn't hugely impressed with it, but he has been in the hobby a long long time, and does have rods costing over £1000 and then some, and he's a bit of a snob.HOWEVER, once we got going, he changed his tune a bit, and declared that it was a very good starter kit. It has just about everything you need to get started, it is very lightweight yet decidedly robust, and he can do a decent "cast" with it, I can't but I'll get there :DThat said, we haven't caught anything yet...Be that as it is, this is an excellent rod and a decent starter kit to boot.
